Coach Rudy began his martial arts journey in 2013, focusing on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) before expanding his training to include Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, and Wrestling. By the ages of 18 and 19, he was already competing in his first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Muay Thai matches, showcasing his dedication and competitive spirit early on.
During his amateur MMA career, Rudy earned the Vigilant Flyweight Championship title and went on to successfully defend it twice. His success and drive quickly propelled him to the professional level, where he competed against some of Florida’s top athletes.
Today, Coach Rudy serves as the Head Striking Coach at Mastermind MMA Academy, overseeing fighter training camps and guiding students in the art of Muay Thai. Beyond the mats, he takes great pride in being both a dedicated husband and father, embodying the balance of discipline, family, and passion that defines the Mastermind MMA philosophy.
