In 2013, Rudy started practicing martial arts, concentrating on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. A year later, he joined MMA and started learning several different martial arts, such as Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ, Judo, and wrestling. At the ages of 18 and 19, Rudy engaged in his first mixed martial arts (MMA) and Muay Thai matches. Through his MMA career, he won the amateur league's Vigilant Flyweight Championship and twice successfully defended his title. He subsequently advanced fast to the professional level where he faced off against Florida's best athletes.
